Located at 530 5th St just West of Pacific Ave the downtown Bremerton business district has the good fortune of having an award winning business recycler to serve our most personal needs. Business owner Laura Kneib first opened F.R.O.G Soap in 2012 creating all natural soaps, lotions and all manner of personal care products. Awarded Nucor Steel Recycling Business award by the WSTA in 2017 Laura is doing her part to keep us, our babies and pets healthy by offering a non chemical product. Just recently awarded Laura was recognized as Kitsap County Earth Day award winner 2018. Laura partners with local businesses to re uses restaurant oil to produce her products. Laura also accepts cardboard, discarded pallets and Styrofoam from others to re use in her packaging, shipping and production in an effort to keep what others throw away out of landfills. She has reused up to 5.5 tons of material in the operation of her business.
From Reclaimed Oil & Glycerin is what F.R.O.G stand for. I don’t know about you but I cannot pronounce or know what the ingredients are on the backs shampoos, soaps and lotions. Laura creates earth friendly products made from our local flora. Originally from Jamestown, Rhode Island Laura was born at home and delivered by her father. Her mother knew how to identify and use her bountiful harvest of herbs and flowers to take care of her family. Laura and her husband Jay have been in the Pacific North West for 30 years, like many Bremertonians the Navy brought them to the neighborhood and they’ve been here ever since.
You should stop by F.R.O.G Soap the next time you are downtown and pick up a nice bar of soap, pet shampoo or special remedy cream. She also carries unique and one of a kind creations from our local ceramicists and fibre artists to help you enjoy her products and adorn your space. Natural products to care for you, your pets and your family.
I appreciate our local business owners that make up the fabric of our downtown businesses. They care about their community, their customers and are really nice people doing good and living well.
